Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Byzantine Technologies LLC ("Byzantine Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on byztech.com and related pages. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as your browser's local storage — can store small amounts of information in the same way. These technologies let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as your light or dark mode choice) and help operators keep their sites secure and working correctly.
2. How We Use Cookies
We take a deliberately minimal approach. Our website is an informational and marketing resource, and we use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the site, keep it secure, remember your preferences, and — with your consent — understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
When you first visit, we show a consent banner. Strictly necessary and preference technologies are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics that rely on cookies are loaded only if you choose “Accept all.” If you choose “Reject non-essential,” no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time — see Your Choices.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function and to protect it from abuse, and cannot be switched off through our site. They include security and anti-abuse technologies provided by our infrastructure partner, Cloudflare, and the Cloudflare Turnstile challenge used on our forms to help block automated spam and protect against fraudulent submissions.
Preferences
These remember choices you make to improve your experience. For example, we store your light or dark mode preference and your cookie-banner choice in your browser's local storage so the site appears the way you left it on your next visit. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Analytics & performance
We use two kinds of analytics, handled differently for your privacy:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies). This privacy-first measurement does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. It gives us aggregate page-view and performance data (including Core Web Vitals) and runs without requiring your consent because it sets no cookies.
- Google Analytics 4 (cookies — consent required). If you select “Accept all,” we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure aggregate usage such as which pages are viewed and how visitors navigate the site. We enable IP anonymization and do not use this data to build advertising profiles. If you reject non-essential cookies, Google Analytics is never loaded and these cookies are not set.
4. Cookies Set by Others
Some necessary cookies and similar technologies are set by service providers acting on our behalf, including:
- Cloudflare — security, anti-abuse, performance, and delivery of the website.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot and spam protection on our contact and assessment forms.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, aggregate traffic and performance measurement.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage analytics, loaded only with your consent.
These providers process information under their own privacy and security practices. If you submit a payment, it is processed by Stripe under its own terms, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your Choices
You are in control of non-essential cookies. When you first visit, our banner lets you Accept all or Reject non-essential. You can revisit and change your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences here or in the site footer — this re-opens the banner so you can accept or reject analytics cookies.
Because the cookies we use are limited to those needed to operate, secure, and improve the site, you can browse all of byztech.com without accepting optional analytics cookies. Most browsers also let you view, manage, block, and delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site — such as form submission and spam protection — to stop working correctly.
For guidance on managing cookies in common browsers, see your browser's help pages. You can typically find these settings under "Privacy," "Security," or "Site settings."
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how sites must respond to it, our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We nevertheless limit our use of cookies and tracking as described in this policy.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our practices or the technologies we use change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
